Jealous
After knockingout 2 tests and a lab today, I’m taking a little mental break before diving back into work tonight. Which means catching up on blog reading:) I can’t help but be a little jealous of everyone on summer vacation or road trips, etc- wish I could do that! At least I get my equivalent of Spring Break after classes on Thursday- I’m going to R.I. for a quick visit.
So this is more of a rambling of my eating patterns over the last week… I noticed that I was so busy Mon-Thurs keeping up with the reading and workload for both classes and lab (which I have 2x/week) that I really didn’t snack mindlessly and my total intake was around 1200 cals/day. I wasn’t tryingto achieve that, but that’s just where it ended up consistently those days. Of course I was sitting still pretty much all day- 9 hours in class, then home for 3-5 more hours of work.
Then on Thursday afternoon things changed and I couldn’t eat enough! I snacked almost every 3 hours throughout the weekend and ate ~2000 cals/day. Typical response I suppose.
Goals for this week:
- Eat more fruits and vegs- most of my food has been prepackaged snack bars and frozen meals, so I need to freshen it up
- Varymeals- it’s hard to do during the day because I can only bring so much with me to lug around all day, but I’ve planned a few quick and easy meals to have for dinner that should be more interesting
- Keep up the constant work- I haven’t been procrastinating at all, which is a totally new concept for me! Of course there’s not really time to put anything off- I have 2 tests and 1 quiz every week, plus labs
- Get to the gym more. I only made it once last week because I felt like I had so much to do, but it felt like such a relief once I went.
In keeping with # 1 and 2, I had a veggie burger for dinner tonight

with some sweet potato fries

and a small salad.

Total cals for this meal ~750, bringing my total for today to ~1600. I’ve got to do some work, then I hope to check off goal #4 as well!
